Tara Klemens of Wayne Inducted into Sociology Honor Society

Tara Klemens '13 of Wayne, NJ, was one of 18 students and one faculty member at Eastern Connecticut State University who were inducted into the National Sociology Honor Society, Alpha Kappa Delta, on May 11. Klemens's major is Pre-Early Childhood Education.

The society recognizes students who have an officially declared sociology major or demonstrate a serious interest in sociology, are at least a junior (third year), have accumulated an overall GPA of 3.0, rank in the top 35 percent of their class in general scholarship, have maintained a 3.0 GPA in sociology courses, and have completed at least four regular courses in sociology prior to initiation.

Eastern Connecticut State University is the state's public liberal arts university. Eastern serves approximately 5,600 students each year on its Willimantic campus and satellite locations.
