Acclaimed Filmmaker Charles Stuart to Present at Eastern

Willimantic, CT (02/03/2020) — Acclaimed documentary filmmaker Charles Stuart will present at Eastern Connecticut State University on Feb. 6 from 6-8 p.m. in the Student Center Theatre. Stuart will discuss his filmmaking process and present his film "Into the Light," which focuses on coping with PTSD and trauma. A Q&A and refreshments will follow. The event is free and open to the public.

Stuart has written, produced and directed more than 50 documentaries for television networks, including ABC, PBS, HBO, Discovery, A&E and MSNBC. His body of work spans "Frontline" documentaries on PBS to recent work for ESPN on the history of basketball. He has traveled the world for his work and is the recipient of multiple television Emmys, including two for Outstanding Investigative Journalism and one for Outstanding Writing.

This University Hour event is in collaboration with Eastern's Office of AccessAbility, Office of Wellness Education, VETS Center and Communication Department.
