Eastern Theatre to Present 'Our Town'

Willimantic, CT (11/11/2019) — Eastern Connecticut State University's Theatre Program will present "Our Town" on Nov. 19-24 in the Proscenium Theatre of the Fine Arts Instructional Center. The Pulitzer Prize-winning drama depicts the truths and trials of a rural American town.

Written by Thornton Wilder and directed by Timothy Golebiewski, this three-act play is set in the fictional town of Grover's Corners, NH, and shares the story of a small-town community through the everyday lives of its residents. The universal themes of life, love, death, time, memory and community are showcased throughout the production.

The show starts at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 19-23; 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 20; and 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 24. Admission is free for Eastern students; $5 for non-students and groups of 10 or more; $10 for senior citizens; $12 for Eastern faculty, staff and alumni; and $20 for the public.
