Free workshop on social communication for young children with autism
Willimantic, CT (03/22/2021) — Two early childhood education experts will lead a workshop on April 7 about social communication for young children with autism. Hosted online from 6-7:30 p.m., Professor Kwangwon Lee from Eastern Connecticut State University and Adriana Fontaine from the Connecticut Parent Advocacy Center (CPAC) will discuss the importance of social communication early in life.
This workshop will focus on pre-verbal communication, the importance of turn taking and joint attention in the development of social communication. Families and caregivers will learn how to identify meaningful interactions during play with their children.
