The Little East Conference (LEC) All-Academic Team for the fall 2017 semester has been announced, and Eastern Connecticut State University is well represented. With 35 student-athletes named to the team this semester, including a record 13 members of the women's soccer team (the most by any institution in any sport), Eastern ranks second among conference institutions in honorees.

Eastern Connecticut State University women's soccer player Alissa Beedle received the Little East Conference (LEC) Offensive Player-of-the-Week Award for the week of Oct. 22. This is the first selection of her career.

Eastern Connecticut State University volleyball player Abby Stern received the Little East Conference (LEC) Rookie-of-the-Week Award for the week of Oct. 15. This is her fourth selection this year, and her second in the last three weeks.

Eastern Connecticut State University women's soccer player Kayla Labreque of Westhampton, MA, received the Little East Conference (LEC) Goalkeeper-of-the-Week Award for the week of Oct. 15. This is her first selection this year, and her third in the last two seasons. Labreque is a Physical Education major.

Eastern Connecticut State University's field hockey forward, Alex Kallgren, has been selected as the only representative from the LEC to play in the 2017 National Field Hockey Coaches' Association Senior All-Star Game, sponsored by Victory Sports Tours. The three-time All-Little-East-Conference (LEC) forward, from Dudley, MA, has also set the program records for points and goals scored in a career, moving her into second place in terms of assists.

Abby Stern '21 is finding herself in rare company at Eastern Connecticut State University. The freshman volleyball player from Manchester has now won three Rookie-of-the-Week awards by the Little East Conference (LEC), her latest for the week of Sept. 24 - Oct. 1.

Senior Caleb Eriksen, an outside linebacker/defensive end, has anchored the unit. On Sept. 23, Eastern Connecticut State University women's field hockey player Alex Kallgren '18 of Dudley, MA, became the program's all-time leader in career points, with a late first-half goal against Framingham State University.
