Eastern's 4th special education summit features 2 speakers

Willimantic, CT (04/17/2024) — The fourth annual Special Education Program Summit will be held at Eastern Connecticut State University on April 25. Participants can attend in person or virtually.

The in-person session begins at 5:30 p.m. in room 301 of the Science Building. The virtual session begins at 5:30 p.m. The speakers are Lynnette D. Lawson Yeaman, a speech-language pathologist at New Britain High School, and Sally V. Drew, associate professor of special education at Sacred Heart University.

Dinner will be provided for guests at the in-person program.

Eastern's master's degree program in special education is coordinated by Kwangwon Lee, assistant professor of education, whose research interests include parent-mediated interventions for children with autism and embedded assistive technology instruction in early childhood teacher education.
